The Mermaid & the Minotaur

The intention of lauding the Virgin and nymphs as well is the desmistifying of the Mermaid legend, because the lovable mermaid is not as a human being. So the Virgin came to substitute the mermaid figure in order that any transformed image dominating might be dangerous. The Mermaid is half-woman & half-fish. Somewhat similar to the Minotaur case who is half-bull & half-man. The Minotaur is a creature from Roman mythology, a queen and bull's offspring. The unique Minotaur had proved to be a periculous being considering its extreme violent disposition, by the other hand, the mermaid escapes easily of the human hands just like a fish, the mermaid image is often up to go to an unknown world where the water prevails.

Would the mermaid be the waters mother symbol, or should the mermaid belong to the Atlantis realm as the hopeful seed of a new kingdom wholly different from the terrestrial one?

The Minotaur was a being acting all by himself, without accepting, nor receiving, not even noticing any govern. He's the jail keeper who can create out of the blue his own rules, the punishment is a constant equation in his behaviour. Although the Minotaur was rude, he wouldn't be beaten as his foster father happened to be the king Minos and would protect him of everyone. At last the raged Minotaur had to be arrested in a labyrinth constructed especially for him. The Minotaur couldn't get through it with his limited intelligence.

By her turn, the singing mermaid is also halted right there on the stone in the middle of the river, always quite near the waters, if not inside them. She can't walk away. Sometimes women are like that, they can't walk away of a situation, even thinking they should.

In short, these both mythological characters are one thing on the upper side and another thing on its inferior part. Half human, but they did not succeed in being so. Just as the way they're, they would be a pair, oh gosh, the Minotaur masculine legs and the mermaid naked breast, the Minotaur has the inferior part as human and the mermaid, the superior. Thus the difficulty resides that the animal part of each one of them don't match, by Minotaur's turn, the bull is an animal which when provoked, it get terribly enraged pointing its harmful horns to pick up the rival, so it's impossible to be by his side; on the other hand, the woman is likewise the mermaid with its fish tail, it hasn't stability by itself, per example, in the old times, the woman couldn't go some places where she wanted.
